Mikey O, (my cousin) and aunt sharon told us to buy your book and check out your blog ages ago… I finally got around to it. Impressive… i’ll pass the word.
Jason, I just finished ur book. It was great. I specically wish to speak w/ u regarding the events discussed on pg# 186. I was w/ that AF convoy and I believe u and I met that fateful day. I look forward to speaking w/ u. Have a great day, steele
To all the troops in Iraq. We are very proud of what you are doing, but other than the history channel we rarely get to hear from the soldiers themselves. I have created a website for all, but I think it can benefit you the most. Please tell us your story. Visit the site for details on content for the story, but please tell us. IF your story does not fit the profile, no worries, Ill just add a war story button to the page.
Your Supporters here in America want to here what you have to say. You have a unique perspective that most Americans can’t even imagine, tell us about it.
Oh and by the way, Thank You for everything you do and are doing!
Read what the site is about, tell us your story, and we can all benefit. In the subject line, add “Iraq” so I can give it priority over other stories I receive.
Hey Sarnt. I emailed you a while back after reading your book. I’ve read many other experiences of Iraq and for some odd reason, they’re in your “Books by Vet” section of your website. I wish I’d gone through that shit before buying other crap books I haven’t enjoyed. I still read your book again time after time. It gives me guidance as my career path in the military comes to a fork in the road, I come to guidance of the past soldiers who’ve lived through shit that I only see in movies. Hope you’re still servin’ man.
Please spread the word to anyone wearing a PASGT helmet.
According to two of it’s top employees, the defense contractor who supplied the Kevlar for as many as 2.2 million PASGT helmets shorted the amount of Kevlar by as many as 11,000 strands per helmet. To read about the details, go to http://www.FederalFraud.com, click on In the News, and read about the Sioux Manufacturing Case. Please spread the word to all servicemen and women. If your wearing a PASGT, it probably contains substandard Kevlar.
Just read you book and found it facinating. It contains more “truths” than almost anything that has come out from the either yours or my (UK) administration with respect to the occupation of Iraq. Well done for having the guts to write down “your version of events”.
Hey Jason,
I just wanted to let you know, I’m a college teacher at Lehigh University in Bethlehem and am having my freshman students read your book this semester. I find it very interesting, and very well-written. Our class is mainly a Cultural Studies course, but we just watched “Iraq in Fragments,” and after your book, will be reading Kayla Williams’ “Love My Rifle More Than You”. This is a great book, and more young (and old) Americans should be reading about your experience. Thanks for your service.
I wrote 2 e-mails with 2 different security codes after 1 hr. trying to get a message through from pvs.oh.I’m giving up for now.I’ll write later if i can get through-in reference to your chapter-women in the military
Yo man.
I’m Jacob from Poland, I think U know where is that and I’m a solider too.
I read your book few days ago.
Is fucking good, interesting and trought.
Next year I wanna go to afganistan mission.
I’ll gonna see how is there for real.

Your theater event, SURRENDER, I think is an incredible idea. I only wish I had had the opportunity to attend before I left.
BTW it was reviewed by Gothamist today, here http://gothamist.com/2008/01/23/theater_of_war.php
