I came across your book and read it on an airplane. Somewhere within it you write that you love combat. I suppose that if you can go out in a Humvee or hump through the desert, maybe get shot at, maybe not, and then return to air-conditioned hooches, cold beer and DVD’s, it’s not so bad. You’re pretty fortunate you live in these times.
May I suggest that you pick up and read “With the Old Breed at Peleliu and Okinawa”, written by the late E.B. Sledge, who was an 18-year old Marine in the Pacific during World War II. I doubt you would have liked combat nearly so much if you had been in his shoes.
I appreciate your service to our country but you are still an immature kid.

you sir are an asshole!!
in my opinion it doesent matter what war you fought in, the troops are the only resone people like me and yo still have freedom to come online. so i think you owe all the troops an apology, for your complete lack of class “I appreciati…..”fuck off dick! its people like you that really piss me off!No shit fighting in WWII was really bad, thats why they are called the greatest gen. but to call this brave (funny)soldier a little kid? you suck! hows that for an immature response?

[…] may recall we shot a chicken farmer whom we thought was an insurgent. Well, we patched him up and he is doing quite fine […]
